The Ravik project is a design where the volume appears introvert and enclosed from outside, but rather the opposite from the inside. As in many of our designs it is a play on the balance between exposed views and private, here within a very defined building shape that opens and closes in different directions and in closely studied relation to the various functions and rooms of the building.

The building is elevated above ground from a base that ensures a compact footprint. The base can easily be developed as a basement or lower technical/storage space.

The elevation above ground ensures not only privacy, but a level of protection and the entrance part of the building can be completely closed off when you leave the house.

The terraces form part of the building and offer different scenarios for outdoor or semi-outdoor use. With possible configurations for covered outdoor areas, outdoor kitchen, wintergarden, outdoor fireplace etc, or combinations thereof.

The combination of entrance and covered terrace offers practical solutions to suit different types of climates and weather, and different types of activities and use.

The interior is laid out to provide a clear separation between the private spaces and the living/dining room areas, but also to provide the living and dining room areas direct access and connection to both terraces on the opposite sides of the building.
