The importance of blade maintenance is emphasised in the working of spruce timber in particular. Spruce is a valued wood type in the construction industry thanks to its moisture resistance and light colour, but working it requires that special attention be paid to blade condition and maintenance. 95 percent of the wood we use in production is spruce, so our machine blades need to be sharp at all times.
